Après de nombreuses années d'excellentes performances en tant que spécialiste de Noyon, Patrick a temporairement raccroché son tablier et n'a pratiquement plus joué pendant plusieurs années. Mais comme pour la plupart des amateurs, le microbe des pigeons est invincible : il s'est remis à la compétition en choisissant le demi-fond (lourd). Les pigeons de vitesse ont été sélectionnés selon la tradition, mais de nouveaux investissements s'imposaient. Il a notamment frappé à la porte de Luc Luyckx, Franky Appelmans (PEC - lignée Porsche) et aussi du meilleur d'Anthony Maes. Il a obtenu une fille de son ancêtre « Bonten Provinciaal » et Patrick s'est également mis en quête du sang gagnant de « Papillon » et « Sero Sero ». Plus récemment, Brinkman et Verstraete ont également apporté leur renfort grâce au phénomène Tom Van Gaver, plus précisément issu des lignées « Finn », « Ricky » et « Charlie ». Le croisement avec les races susmentionnées a donné des résultats étonnants, avec notamment les 1re, 2e, 3e, 6e... places au Provincial Orléans et bien d'autres encore. 11 pièces sont prêtes à changer de propriétaire, tentez votre chance!
