Dear pigeon enthusiasts
I am Tibe Pede and I need your help. For those who don’t know me yet, let me introduce myself. I am Tibe, 20 years old, and I race pigeons in Mullem (Oudenaarde), primarily focusing on long-distance racing. I am studying History at the University of Ghent and currently in my third year, thus I need to write a Bachelor’s thesis.
In my case, writing a Bachelor’s thesis means conducting research in history and writing a report about it. My topic consists of two parts: requisitions by the Germans in agriculture, specifically livestock farming during World War II (1940-1945) in Flanders, in the context of the National Agricultural and Food Corporation, and part two for which I hope to use your help: everything related to pigeons during World War II in Flanders (also a bit internationally). This involves pigeons that were smuggled, lived in hiding, were used in the information network, were requisitioned by the Germans, for example.
If you have information on my topic, preferably in written form such as writings, books, and various materials, please do not hesitate to contact me. Photos are less preferred, but are okay if they can be well described. I would like to read or view the material; I can take my own photos to examine it in detail at home.
