Cookie Policy

1. Cookies

Cookies are small data or text files that websites and applications place on your local computer. These cookies can serve different purposes: there are technical cookies (for example, to remember language settings), session cookies (temporary cookies that expire after one session), and tracking cookies (cookies that track your behavior on the internet to offer you an optimal user experience).

The Belgian Electronic Communications Act of 13 June 2005 contains several provisions regarding cookies and their use on websites. The law is a transposition of the European e-Privacy Directive, which means that cookie legislation may be implemented differently in other European member states.

Pitts is established in Belgium and therefore follows Belgian legislation regarding cookies.

2. Purpose and usefulness of cookies

Pitts wants to inform every visitor to the platform/website as well as possible about their rights under Belgian cookie legislation and about which cookies Pitts uses. By using the platform/website, the visitor agrees to the use of cookies. Cookies help Pitts optimize your visit to the platform/website, remember technical choices (for example a language choice, a newsletter, etc.) and show you more relevant services and offers.

If you want to consult Pitts' platform/website, it is advisable to enable the technical settings for cookies. Without enabled cookies, Pitts cannot guarantee a trouble-free visit to the platform/website. If you prefer not to accept cookies, you are free as a visitor to disable cookies.

We use cookies to improve your visit to our platform/website. The cookies we use are safe. The information we collect through cookies helps us to identify any errors or to show you specific services that we think may be of interest to you.

3. Types of cookies used by Pitts

We distinguish the following types of cookies, according to their purposes:

Essential/Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the platform/website to function and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. They are necessary for proper communication and facilitate navigation (for example, returning to a previous page, etc.).

Non-essential cookies

These cookies are not strictly necessary for the platform/website to function, but they help us to offer an improved and personalized website.

  1. Functional cookies: These cookies enable the platform/website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by external providers whose services we have added to our pages.
  2. Analytical cookies: These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our platform/website. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the platform/website.
  3. Targeting/advertising cookies: These cookies may be set through our platform/website by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites.

We use our own cookies as well as cookies from carefully selected partners we work with. Below you will find a complete list of cookies that may be used on our website/platform now or in the future.
