It has been crystal clear for several years that Davy Verleije and his daughter Amber know exactly what it takes to succeed in pigeon racing. Their colony is especially renowned for excelling when the races become truly demanding and the weather conditions are tough. With their main focus on long-distance and extreme long-distance racing, Davy always aims to make a strong impression from the very first preparatory races. This season is no exception.
The preparation was clearly on point, with victories at various distances, and on the very first long-distance race of the season they struck immediately:
Competing against 3,056 old birds from Limoges, Davy and Amber won 1st Zonal, while also claiming 1st Provincial against 1,941 pigeons.
On the national level, their outstanding 3-year-old cock BE23-3029855 was clocked in an excellent 2nd National against 9,067 old birds.
That this champion is no newcomer to top performances is proven by the impressive results he has achieved over the past few years. A pigeon of exceptional class, if you ask us!
Congratulations, Amber and Davy!
