Thibaud started racing pigeons about 25 years ago. At the foundation of the beautiful results achieved were the sprint pigeons from the well-known tandem Thibaut-Boons from Sombreffe. Until 2018, they competed at a high level, including 1st Provincial Ace Pigeon Sprint Yearlings KBDB, 2nd Provincial Ace Pigeon Sprint Yearlings KBDB, 3rd Provincial Ace Pigeon Sprint Old KBDB, and 20th National Ace Pigeon Sprint KBDB.
In early 2019, significant changes in his professional life meant that the lab coat had to be temporarily hung up. The opening of a pet and pigeon shop under the brand "Poils et Plumes" in Waret-la-Chaussée, Eghezée. Thibaud then made the difficult decision to sell his entire colony, except for three pigeons.
And, as is the case for many, the pigeon bug proved to be hard to eradicate because when everything was stable work-wise again, he started acquiring pigeons once more. He went back to look for his old strain and found it again with various fanciers who had bought from his total sale at that time. Moreover, he also immediately sought reinforcement, so the loft's stock now consists of pigeons with origins from:
- Thibaut-Boons (the ace pigeons of Thibaud and the old pigeons "Pros", "Nels", "Red Bull"...)
- Gino Clicque (via Jean-Marc Thibaut) his "choco", "Golden Prince"
- AT Breedingloft ("White Beauty", "Best Kittel")
- Wouters Marcel ("Den Ad", "Extreem", "Leeuw"...)
- Pipa Elite Center ("Porsche 911", "Prins Porsche", "Jana"…)
- "Olympic Rico"
In 2021, a few young pigeons were raced "for fun" who performed more than decently, and in 2022, Thibaud raced only 5 cocks that immediately earned him a number of victories and a prize percentage of 75%. The 2023 season started on a low note when his best flyer "Le Kev" was taken by a raptor. Thibaud decided not to race the others anymore and to start anew with young pigeons from 2023. Despite the busyness in the shop and the limited time spent on the pigeons, he could still speak of a decent season, as with participation in only 6 races, the young pigeon team earned 105 prizes from 203 entries, including:
