Announcement from the KBDB regarding the racing flights of the upcoming weekend: Saturday 7, Sunday 8, and Monday 9 June 2025

Since the beginning of this week, the KBDB has been closely monitoring the weather forecasts for the racing flights of the upcoming weekend.

Unfortunately, the unfavorable weather predictions still stand.

We would like to provide you with further clarification about the organization of the flights:

Can the KBDB make changes to the national racing flights of the upcoming weekend?

Unfortunately not.

After consultation, it appears that it is logistically impossible for the different carriers to adjust the pickups for the national racing flights scheduled for this weekend.

What can we do instead?

As the organizer of the national flight from Argenton (basketing on Thursday evening), the KBDB has decided, in the interest of animal welfare, to reduce the number of pigeons per basket from a maximum of 22 to a maximum of 18.

What about the sprint and small middle-distance flights?

According to the KBDB statutes, both the sprint and small middle-distance flights fall under the exclusive authority of the PE's/SPE's.

If there are any changes, the involved PE's/SPE's will communicate directly with their members and local clubs about this.

At the national level, the KBDB does offer them the possibility to exceptionally postpone the releases of the small middle-distance flights until Monday, if necessary.

We thank you for your understanding and wish everyone much success in the races.

With sporty regards,
The national chairman Pascal Bodengien - The chairman of the NSC Denis Sapin
