Rainer Leisegang (DE – Hattorf am Harz) always had one strategy: only the best is good enough!

TOTAL SALE of a breeding loft of super breeders that produces first prize winners and ace pigeons as if it’s small beer...

In 2009, Rainer Leisegang and his wife Gerlinde started to expand a – to put it mildly! – professional breeding loft in Hattorf am Harz, Germany. Now, 15 years later, the references at the satellite lofts are almost unmanageable! A breeding loft of super-breeders that produces first prize winners and foundation pigeons as if it were a piece of cake...

Only the very best is good enough

The rural municipality of Hattorf am Harz accommodates around 4,000 residents and is located in the German state of Lower Saxony, specifically in the Göttingen district. In this picturesque municipality, the pigeon lofts were established by the ever-sympathetic Rainer Leisegang and his wife Gerlinde. They both have only one goal in mind: to breed winners! To achieve that, no mountain was ever too high or sea too deep. Under the motto “only the very best is good enough,” they approached several top flyers and often walked away with the very best. The breeding loft of Leisegang offers exclusively descendants of first prize winners, foundation pigeons, and super-breeders. The foundation initially consists of pigeons from Patrick Lismont (Bekkevoort), Bart & Nance Van Oeckel (Oud-Turnhout), Johny Jonckers, Luc Van Mechelen, HP Brockamp, Sabrina Brugmans, and Anthony Maes.

Satellite Lofts

With only about 12 breeding pairs, Rainer supplies at least 17 satellite lofts in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, and also in our country. 20 opportunities for achieving top results, and in all cases, top performances with pigeons from Leisegang. Pigeons from Hattorf have already flown dozens of first prizes and deliver beautiful results over distances from 150 to 800 kilometers.

Between 2010 & 2017, approximately 46 first prizes were won this way, 67 second prizes, and over 250 times in the first 10 flew by pigeons directly from the Leisegang loft. Additionally, there were also several foundation pigeons in local competitions and partnerships, and even co-winners of a National Championship.

“Solveig” possesses extraordinary breeding value

The line of “Solveig” can undoubtedly be praised as one of the best families in Germany. In 2022, children and grandchildren of this top flyer won no less than 70 prizes per 10.

A daughter was awarded 3rd National Foundation Pigeon KBDB Small Middle Distance two years ago.

A grandson of “Solveig” won 8 prizes at Peter Jans (Heusden-Zolder), including 5 times in the top 10, with a 1st prize against 2,910 pigeons!

Also at Norbert Fuge (DE-Worbis), a granddaughter of “Solveig” flew 12 prizes, of which 8 per ten.

Furthermore, “Lady Britta” is slowly emerging as a star in Rainer's breeding loft. At good friend Markus Bauenschmidt, top hen 05525-21-663 is the 6th Foundation Pigeon in Reg V 754. She is a direct daughter of “Lady Britta”.

Rainer speaks:

"After a 12-year break from pigeon racing, I started again in 2009. Due to my professional role as a construction manager for technical building equipment and the associated absence from home, only a few breeding pigeons were purchased. In the very first breeding year, I had my first major success; I won 2nd National Argenton (young pigeon) at Patrick Lismont with one of my pigeons. This was the turning point in my pigeon racing activities. In the following years, up to today, more partner lofts came on board, totaling 17 partner lofts in five European countries. The reason for this growth was the enormous success of my pigeons. Another 2nd National, 1st + 5th National (Zone), and many TOP 100 rankings in Belgian National flights. Traveling to National and Regional championships and foundation pigeons in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark were some of the highlights. From the beginning, only children and siblings of top pigeons were deployed. In issue 17/24 of the magazine “De Duif”, my loft was described as “one of the better breeding lofts in Germany”.
Today, top pigeons continue to come to Hattorf in exchange or as gifts from my friends to improve quality. My breeding loft has never been larger than 18 pairs over the years; each partner loft receives only 4 - 6 young pigeons per year to race, without nest siblings.
Currently, the 1st Foundation Pigeon, KHF, KBDB, Yearling, (Patrick Lismont) was bred from one of my pigeons. The 1st Foundation Pigeon in Reg V 756 comes directly from me. In 2022, the 3rd Foundation Pigeon KHF KBDB was also an original pigeon from me.
My “Solveig family” is largely responsible for the successes of recent years. “Solveig” is a daughter of ‘Gaston Jr.’ from Bart & Nance van Oeckel. The children and grandchildren of “Solveig” have won over 350! prizes in the first 10%, becoming foundation pigeons and co-winners of championships. Her offspring are also base pigeons for other breeders. Due to health issues stemming from an accident, I am offering my entire stock here with a heavy heart. With hopes for success for the buyers!"
