In response to the letter from the counsel of PE Antwerp, reacting to the letter from the counsel of PE East Flanders,
the PE East Flanders decides to keep everything for the sprint flights as it was in previous years and thus to respect the interprovincial agreement.
Notwithstanding the request from many associations and their members to be able to release the sprint on Saturday and to respect the family aspect within pigeon racing, we will not further burden our fanciers and associations with unnecessary procedural costs.
We find it very unfortunate that the intention to bring all flight lines to one and the same day (Saturday) while maintaining all planned release points as before is simply being undermined by the stubbornness of one PE.
We as PE have tried everything, sometimes resulting in much frustration, to manage this well and to bring all flight lines on Saturday, thereby offering the pigeon families and associations a free Sunday.
Consequently, for the 2025 racing season, the sprint for the middle line will remain on Sunday with Noyon and Quiévrain as release points, nothing will change for the West line, and for the Middle-West line the program of PE Hainaut will also be followed as in previous years.
The preparation flights from Ecouen for the KHF season will also take place again. If the possibility of releasing at Ecouen is prevented for any reason, there will be a shift to Pont-St-Maxence, as was the case this season.
The next board of PE East Flanders will therefore immediately face a major challenge.
In the name of the president of PE East Flanders, Bart Piens, and his fellow representatives.
Best regards,
Secretary PE East and West Flanders
