Noyon and Quiévrain basketing Saturday, July 13, release Sunday, July 14 (interprovincial release) +RESPONSE

Given the announcement we received today from the French Federation, stating that releasing on Sunday, July 14, will be permitted (see below), the flights from Noyon and Quiévrain will both proceed as usual on Sunday, as scheduled weekly.

Considering the announcement we received today from the French Federation, that release on Sunday, July 14 is indeed permitted (see below), the races from Noyon and Quiévrain will both continue as scheduled on Sunday, just as is planned weekly.

So, the pigeon entry will be on Saturday, July 13, and release is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.

This change will be implemented in admin, ensuring that the flight numbers remain unchanged.

ANNOUNCEMENT for the attention of the associations and the enthusiasts

  • The French federation informed us today that on Sunday, July 14, 2024, the French national holiday, releases are allowed on French territory.

RESPONSE

Release of all races this weekend, considering, as has been the case for many years, July 14.

Now suddenly a reversal to allow release on July 14. It has cost me blood, sweat, and tears to get my pigeons ready for Saturday.

My son, who is disabled, had to go to physiotherapy on Saturday. Eventually, my wife agreed, despite the fact that we will have to postpone that massage until August.

Called Bodengien about this reversal: in discussion with the French president, it appears that there is no law prohibiting pigeon releases on July 14. Fine, then do that next year but don’t change things around again.

Whether or not to proceed has consequences not only for the pigeon enthusiast but also for his family, who constantly have to adjust. I can't just call my caretaker, who has to adjust as well.
I have respect for those who have to make decisions, but I find this unacceptable.
