The season had a great start, the pigeons had been on widowhood for about two weeks before the season. Prior to the season, they were trained 4 times up to 50 km and participated in the 2nd training from the department from Budel (74 km), where they also secured the 1st place in the CC.
On Quievrain, 25 pigeons were entered, and the winner, which had already been noticed as a "special" hen by Willy & William as a young bird, actually came from a direction that is normally not ideal for arriving early, but she lost no seconds and dropped onto the antenna in free fall. In hindsight, this was just enough to win with a lead of only 1 second. Ultimately, 20 prizes were won, and the trap could be closed within the hour.

- the mother is 'NL21-256', last year the best yearling of the loft with 14 prizes in 15 entries, bred from the super couple; 'Super 316', among others 2nd Asd. Long Distance CC & (grand)father of, among others, 1st-9th-10th Prov. / NPO and is in turn again a son of 'Special Veenstra 364', father & (grand)father of more than 40 first prizes, paired to the best of W. & F. Ebben.
With this victory, 6 pigeons in the top ten of the club and a number of promising yearlings that have been performing weekly so far, they can be satisfied, with not a single pigeon lost on the flights (some doffers are withheld for the "better" hens), they seem ready for the middle distance from Morlincourt 330 km.
