The merger between the Limburg Fondclub and the Fondmarathon is progressing well. A total of 10,211 young pigeons have now been registered for the 57th provincial Orléans race with the Limburg Fond & Marathon Club. The crown jewel of Limburg pigeon sport can expect more young pigeons at the start. All registered pigeons will participate in the free championships and are eligible for the free prizes. Currently, the prize pool already exceeds 6,000 euros. Moreover, free shipping applies to the first 10 pigeons,” said LFMC President Jacky Creemers.
The 10,211 young pigeons have been registered by 448 enthusiasts with an average of 23 pigeons per enthusiast.

Fond Cards

At this moment, 387 membership cards of the LFMC have already been sold. This number will undoubtedly grow significantly as 18 clubs still need to send in their data. Secretary Jelle Creemers: “On average, 15 percent more membership cards have been sold per club. These enthusiasts have understood our message: they want to breathe new life into the fond scene in Limburg. Enthusiasts have until April 15 to purchase a membership card. It's worth mentioning that the first race that qualifies for the championships is Gien on May 11.”
