16-11-23 Announcement from the KBDB – Loft Lists 2024
The KBDB has received various questions, both by phone and in writing, regarding the new text that appears on the loft list 2024 and which must be signed by the fanciers for approval, namely that the fancier(s) commits/commit to accept and respect the statutes and regulations (including the regulations regarding Animal Welfare).
It was primarily the text “including the regulations regarding Animal Welfare” that raised questions among the fanciers.
Apparently, some fanciers have also found their way to “Animal Welfare Flanders” to express their dissatisfaction.
Why this amendment now? We can be short and concise here, namely that the regulations regarding animal welfare not only concern the doping regulations but also include provisions that are incorporated into other KBDB regulations such as:
- Art. 2 of the NSR which refers, among other things, to the KB of 23/09/1998
- Vaccinations “paramyxovirus”, as included in the final provisions of the national sports regulations
- Art. 5 bis of the NSR regarding lost pigeons
……
In other words, by signing the loft list 2024, the fancier declares their agreement to accept and respect ALL regulations of the KBDB. All these regulations can be consulted via the link provided here: https://www.kbdb.be/reglementen-en-statuten/
