This week, most enthusiasts already received the election form in the mail!
Time to indicate the right ballot(s). (National unlimited, Provincial 3 votes for the Aalst-Oudenaarde district)!
The upcoming elections are important for every enthusiast among us!
I am also running for election! Both National and Provincial!
One of the "newbies" among the candidates but one who has been passionate about pigeons since childhood! I have also seen the pigeon sport evolve over the last 33 years, both positively and negatively...
It's impossible to please everyone. There will always be critics with every decision. But anyone can stand on the sidelines and watch! That’s why I’ve chosen to run for election!
Certain aspects are improving but can still be refined. Other matters, in my opinion, need to be thoroughly adjusted!
Where do I want to focus
1) EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
This regarding flight programs - calendar (races and midweek releases), release days, championships, etc...
A point where there is quite a bit of frustration in our (Dender) region!
2) TRANSPARENCY AND CLEAR COMMUNICATION
No decisions behind closed doors. I stand for openness, clear explanations for choices, and direct communication with enthusiasts. Everyone has the right to participate and to information.
3) COOPERATION/COLLABORATION WITH EXTERNALS
A focus that covers a wide range;
- transporters
- inspectors
- animal welfare
- nature and environmental organizations
- ...
4) FUTURE-ORIENTED - YOUTH WORK
Pigeon sport needs to regain positivity.
Is our sport still attractive to newcomers?!
Everything has become more expensive, okay. But where does it stop?
Membership fees, loft installation, daily care, vaccinations, transport costs, ...
This also needs to be scrutinized!
