Introduction Johan Kloetstra
My name is Johan Kloetstra, 39 years old, and I am proud to work as a new employee in the role of Head of the Business Office at the Dutch Pigeon Flyers Organization. Born and raised in the Frisian Feanwalden, I have been actively involved in pigeon sport for over 30 years. Together with my father, I participate in the marathon races. I am a member of PV Het Kompas in Feanwalden.
The passion for pigeon sport has been instilled in me from an early age, and I want to use it to support and further strengthen the organization. Pigeon sport is not just a hobby for me but a true passion. I am fully committed to safeguarding the future of this beautiful sport, where youth plays an important role. From the age of 18 to 22, I served as a board member in the international youth committee of the NPO.
I live in Boelenslaan with my wife Thea, my 5-year-old daughter Norah, and my 3-year-old son Lars. Outside of pigeon sport, I have worked for over 15 years as a project leader in construction. In this role, I have gained a lot of experience in coordinating processes and realizing projects. I can now effectively use this knowledge in my new position, where I am also responsible for optimizing internal and external processes and policies within the Dutch Pigeon Flyers Organization.
I look forward to applying my knowledge, passion for pigeon sport, and experience to improve the organization and further strengthen and promote pigeon sport in the Netherlands. It is an honor to be part of this beautiful community, and I am excited to work together with the other members, departments, committees, board, and colleagues to shape the future of pigeon sport.
