For 3 weeks in a row, the pigeons of the father/son tandem have performed exceptionally well. On 04/05, only the hens were entered. This immediately resulted in 2 early pigeons (2nd and 3rd place out of 451 pigeons). The first pigeon to arrive was the yearling hen 2005627/24, coming from the pairing Bonten Dirk (directly from Dirk van Dyck) x Lady Bourges (previously 52nd Nat. Bourges out of 38456 pigeons). This 627/24 is a half-sister of Yeti, who was sold earlier this auction season via PITTS.
The second hen that arrived was the top hen Jutta’s Girl, a 100% Verkerk pigeon. This top hen previously won 1st Nat.Zone Bourges and was ranked 16th Nat.Asduif World Best Pigeon Allround in 2024.
On 04/12, the weather gods predicted nice weather again, and now the entire flying team was entered. This resulted in 2 podium places again. Against 799 pigeons, Jutta’s Girl achieved 2nd place and the yearling doffer 2005649/24 the 3rd place. This yearling doffer comes from a 100% Dirk Van Dyck pigeon paired with a 100% Verkerk pigeon (line Olympic Solange/Invictus/Dedication).
Last weekend, the entire flying team was entered again on Saturday. Now the main pigeon was shot, competing against 822 pigeons. The yearling doffer 2005527/24 “Den Playboy” was the first to clock in. This 527/24 has as its mother a direct Verkerk pigeon, namely Playgirl, and is thus a half-brother of Jutta’s Girl (1st Nat.Zone Bourges, 16th Nat.Asduif World Best Pigeon Allround ’24). On the father’s side, he is a grandson of “De Super,” father and grandfather of numerous top pigeons, with the most famous being “Remco,” 1st Nat.Asduif GHF Young KBDB ’19.
