Frederik Motton and Matthias Coel met 16 years ago through pigeon sport. This stuck directly between these 2 young men and the contact always became more intense. So that all the pigeon schedules were discussed together and very quickly, an exchange of pigeons followed. Given that there is blind trust between these two friends, and that the situation lent itself to it, it was decided in 2018 to merge their 2 breeding lofts. This resulted in the two best halves of each breeding loft being brought together and this made their new breeding loft even stronger. And now they breed under the name of Motton-Coel and the young pigeons are each year harmoniously shared in 2 different places: Hélecine and Boortmeerbeek.
From the pooling of breeding lofts, the following most significant results were achieved:
• 8th ace pigeon GDF yearlings KBDB 2020 (Ona)
6 provincial victories:
• 1st (3-4-5-6-7-9 citations) Provincial ace pigeon GDF young pigeons 2021
• 9th Olympiad category sport B 2018 (New George)
• 12th Olympiad sport category H 2021 (Georgina)
In 2020, it was decided not to sell ''Ona'' and to place her, after her title of 8th Nat. GDF Yearlings, to the breeding loft in order to inject even more qualities into it. Matthias and Frederik had a strategy in mind, including joint breeding with different super males to anchor ''Ona'' in their breeding loft, as well as introducing ''super blood'' ' .
In 2021 she was mated:
• 1) With ''Invictus'' by Albert Derwa (the current super breeder—father and grandfather of 1st Nationals)
• 2) With ''Den Brave'' of Tom and Jan Iwens (half-brother of 1st National Argenton and son of their top breeder ''Vici''
• 3) With ''Tiësto's Hero'' of Davy Tournelle (13th Nat. Ace-pig. GDF old and full brother of ''Tiësto's Lady (3rd Nat. Ace-pigeon GDF old the same year)
In 2022, she was mated:
• 1) With “Rinus” from Veulemans-Perilleux (1st National La Souterraine in 2016)
• 2) With ''Vici'' of Tom and Jan Iwens (the absolute top breeder of Tom and Jan Iwens and sire of the 1st National Argenton)
The sons/daughters of these matings were directly transferred to the breeding loft and the first results promise to see a bright future.
By merging these two breeding lofts, it is a question here of the following breeding strains:
• The “Couples en Or” was born at Frederik in 2021 by crossing pigeons of the late Florent Materne (Tirlemont) with Danny and Nick Van Avondt (Haacht). This couple directly produced the 2nd National Argenton (among 28019 pigeons) and the following year the 3rd National Guéret 15.007 pig. But unfortunately they are no longer fertile, but nevertheless, there are still about ten youngsters in the breeding loft which give first prize winners every year.
• Derwa-Luxem (Herent): Matthias (like a son of Albert and Francine) and Frederik are the proud owners of various Derwa pigeons. Thus we have, for the moment, 4 sons of ''Invictus'' at the breeding loft and also 2 sons of the new star in Herent, that is to say ''Davinia'' (from the daughter of ''Davinia'', they also bred in 2022 the 1st Provincial Bourges in Walloon Brabant; out of a son of ''Davinia'' (mated to the super hen ''Ona''), they also bred a winner of first prizes (see couple 3)
• Veulemans-Perilleux (Vissenaken): the long friendship with this tandem has given continuous reinforcement to our breeding loft.
• Erik Limbourg (Brussegem): in 2015, we acquired a top breeder who has since been (grand)father to more than 10 different first prize winners and is a safe bet for breeding.
• Les Frères Herbots (Halle-Booienhoven): a son of “George” (9th Ace pigeon GDF old birds in 2013) proved to be a top breeder. He is the sire of 2 Olympic pigeons and a provincial ace pigeon (see below).
• Davy Tournelle (Rummen): in 2013, we acquired a female from “Torres” there who, among other things, became the mother of the new basic female “Ona”.
• Bob Berendsen (Netherlands): the collaboration with Bob dates from the very beginning of Matthias' career. Lots of top pigeons from Bob have already passed through the breeding loft and have always had a big influence on Matthias' performances.
• Jan and Tom Iwens (Sint-Katelijne-Waver) >> the contribution of Iwens pigeons dates from
these last years. The very best breeding males were mated to ''Ona''. The Iwens pigeons also left their stamp on Matthias and Frederik.
The red thread of the colony is a combination of the old strains of Frederik (late Florent Materne and Van Avondt) and the pigeons of Matthias (Bob Berendsen and Albert Derwa) whose super material above is systematically crossed.
The daughter of ''Invictus'' X ''Priscilla'' (Albert Derwa) finds herself in the 2 lines in which Frederik and Matthias trust completely and in whom they believe a lot.
A line has given, in recent years, a lot of super racers, including these brothers and sisters: 9th Olympiad sport category B 2018 (New George)—who has since become the father of the 7th National La Souterraine 14,315 pigeons (2021)

One was crowned 11th As of As National LCB with among others a 2nd Interprovincial Argenton among 3,005 pigeons (after a pigeon from the same loft) and the other won 1st prize at the very tough La Souterraine in 2021.
Frederik and Matthias were looking forward to the 2022 season in which, for the first time, grandsons/granddaughters of ''Ona'' would be played. After 2022, “Ona” is now mother and grandmother of:
