Dear enthusiast,
As you can read in the heading of this letter, the pigeon flights in favor of “Come on against cancer” will be organized for the 30th time in 2025.
On August 9, 2025, it’s happening again, and we have requested the KBDB to release the pigeons in St Soupplets, a distance that is achievable for speed players and may also serve as a stepping stone for further national flights.
We hope for a beautiful number of pigeons again and count on massive participation from the Limburg enthusiasts.
Without the effort and help from the societies, this organization would not be possible, and without the support of the sponsors, we cannot transfer that large amount to the KOTK campaign while still giving away a whole series of prizes.
Since we can again count on the same support, we can also give away more than €7,000 in prizes to the various winning enthusiasts in the regions.
Our loyal main sponsors are and remain Maalderij JO and EDMOND JANS from Langenakkerstraat 31 in Wellen; as distributors of Beyers pigeon feed and numerous by-products, they provide a mass of prizes each year for those present at the closing evening. Wara supports the campaign by providing beautiful prizes, and also flowers Hansen from Bilzen ensures a brightening of the hall and numerous prizes. For every attendee, there is also a free Haspengouw fruit bag provided.
With every purchase of a bag of pigeon feed from Jo and Edmond Jans, you receive a participation voucher. For each participation voucher, you can register one pigeon for the free prizes (max 10 old + yearlings, max 10 young pigeons). If you have more vouchers, you can hand them in at the closing evening and receive a Beyers package of value.
The campaign started on February 1, 2025; you will receive a registration voucher with every purchase of a bag of Beyers Jans pigeon feed, running until October 11, 2025, the day of the closing evening.

There are 4 series planned: old + yearling mandatory main competition, doubling of old pigeons, doubling of yearlings, mandatory young pigeons. No port pigeons!
Fastest old pigeon and fastest yearling (on provincial result old + yearling) and fastest young pigeon (provincial result) win a trophy.
- The free prizes are distributed in the series of old and yearling pigeons together and the series of young pigeons according to the classification in the 4 regions.
One enthusiast can win only one free prize.
The highest prize is €1,000, 2nd highest TV, 3rd highest natural prize Wara.
- Fastest pigeon series old + yearling wins TV, 2nd fastest pigeon also wins TV, 2nd fastest a natural prize Wara.
- Fastest young pigeon per region wins €1,000, and 2nd fastest a natural prize Wara.
You must indicate on the provincial pool list which pigeons are flying for the free prizes by putting a B next to the number on the pool list. It is not mandatory to mention the ring numbers; only enthusiasts who play with clock and rubber must do this.
How can you indicate this?
On the provincial pool list for old and yearlings together, a maximum of 10 vouchers (10xB) can be used for the first ten entered pigeons, which may be old or yearlings, and the first 10 young pigeons you need to submit a total of 20 vouchers Jans if you want to set all the pigeons for the free prizes. So 20 times B on the provincial pool lists.
You can only put a B on the mandatory main competitions for old + yearlings together and young pigeons. No B on the doublings of old pigeons or the doubling of yearlings.
The free prizes are distributed per series by the ranking supervisor provided that there is a B on the pool list.
If there is no B indicated, you cannot win ANY prize, even if you have submitted vouchers since it is not possible for the organization to know which pigeons old/yearlings or young the provided vouchers are meant for.
