Art 11 National Sports Regulations
After numerous questions regarding the announcement below.
Here is additional info: For clarity for the associations:
- For the championships old and yearlings : up to and including the weekend of August 2/3
- For the championships young pigeons : up to and including the weekend of September 6/7

Please take into consideration the championships of the associations and connections regarding this matter.
The committee urges all associations to make your texts regarding the criteria for the championships as clear as possible
so that ANY doubt regarding the interpretation is excluded.
Discussion is excluded.
It is not what you have in mind but what is literally in the text that matters. Changes to regulations, national or provincial, can affect your texts.
Blindly adopting your text from last year can thus sometimes be interpreted differently under new circumstances.
Committees are regularly confronted with such unclear texts, where they must make decisions based on what is written.

Announcement KBDB to associations – Attention Associations!!!!!!
The regulation below was decided at the last sports committee and confirmed by the NAV of 21/2/25.
NATIONAL SPORT REGULATIONS (NSR)
Art. 11 of the NSR:
All championships, whether national, interprovincial, provincial or local, shall end:
– for “old and yearlings” up to and including the weekend of the first national race for young pigeons
– for “young pigeons” up to and including the weekend before the last national race, however with the exception for the national championships, whereby these championships shall end on the weekend of the last national race.
Furthermore, from September 1 a fall championship can be established, provided that this championship shall under no circumstances be added to the overall championship.
