"For the report from Agen, I initially named her 'the tireless' because she returned very fresh from Agen at 22:15 in the dark. Now she has been renamed to 'Red Rum', the legendary racehorse.
She won the first Provincial Ace Pigeon LFMC Grand Fond Yearlings with a large lead, and it is quite unique to be among the national ace pigeons in Limburg. Internationally, she was 22nd, with the next pigeon I found on the east side in 92nd place.
The little red hen flew on widowhood at Agen and came through at 22:15 as it was getting dark; she showed herself to be very fresh (during the report on Herbots, I temporarily named her: the tireless) after more than 14 hours of flying.
She performed even better at Narbonne after 14 days of breeding. She was at one point in 1st Provincial, which would have been a nice culmination of her performance, but was ultimately flagged as 2nd Provincial.
She, now called 'Red Rum', was crowned 6th National Ace Pigeon Grand Fond Yearlings KBDB, which is unique for Limburg. And with a remarkable lead, she was 1st Provincial Ace Pigeon LFMC. Internationally, she stood 22nd, and the next pigeon on the east side I found was somewhere around 92nd place.
We plan to race most of the pigeons on widowhood twice next year; this suits my father better, and because we usually achieve excellent results with this system at Agen.
Our system is based on being patient with motivation at the right moment.
Keeping them as calm as possible beforehand.
Male pigeons that are well attached to their box, competition, and nutrition."

I bought both parents at the total sale of Bert Hakvoort from the far north of the Netherlands and paired them specifically due to the suitability of both breeds for different lofts.
- The father of the mother was already 3x ace pigeon (1x 1st and 2x 2nd) and is the foundation breeder at Wim Weerink. She (her mother) is a cross of Jellema x Vertelman.
- The mother of her father was also an ace pigeon. Her father is a red doffer and comes from Willem Wagteveld. If you look further back in the pedigree, you will find the kind of Jan Theelen. This is a cross of various fanciers at the longest distances (Gebroeders Limburg, Dic Van den Berg, Gebr Bras, etc.). From the family of her father, we have bred more useful pigeons, e.g., the 6th Prov Agen, 21st Prov Narbonne, etc.
"Like the others, she was allowed to raise 1 young in the winter. When the young was 14-16 days old (when the doffer returned behind the hen), the doffer stayed only with the young.
After that, they remained on widowhood until coupling after Agen.
She was paired with another good yearling that flew 10th Prov Agen and came through at 22:21, from the breed of Wim Gielen.
This was a special pigeon because when it was a young pigeon, I picked it up in Orleans at 22:26 in the dark; I still have a photo of it."
