The end of the racing season for our pigeons means that the new auction winter is on the doorstep for Pitts. And it promises to be quite a spectacle, an auction season with the strong foundation of previous years but partly in a new style.
At the beginning of this year, some changes were made at Pitts. Changes that some are already aware of, and others are not yet. Therefore, I would like to introduce myself as the new manager to you, Gert Van Limbergen. A few years ago, I got the chance to work with Pitts. A real task, a busy job, but above all, an opportunity that I, as a pigeon enthusiast through and through, seized with both hands and which I still pursue with full dedication to this day. Most of you have already welcomed me at home, and I have certainly met some of you during the Pitts viewing days at my loft in Lede.
Together with former manager Rudi Hendrikx, I and the entire Pitts team have always guaranteed a fair and transparent approach regarding pigeon auctions. “Different bosses, different rules,” most will think. I prefer to use the saying: “Never change a winning team!” And in that team, I want to continue surrounding myself with the buyers and sellers who have made it possible for Pitts to grow into one of the largest pigeon media in the world in a relatively short time.
With our increasingly stringent auction selection, we continuously strive for even more quality and potential. In the upcoming months, there will naturally be a wide selection of breeding pigeons, performance pigeons, and young pigeons offered that can certainly mean added value for every loft.
We kick off on the upcoming Monday, October 2, and in broad terms, our well-known approach has remained the same.
- Start of the auctions: every Monday around 21:30
- Duration of the auctions: one or two weeks, depending on the choice of the seller
- End of the auctions: every Monday between 19:00 and 22:00
- Viewing day every Friday from 19:00 to 21:00 at Langeweestraat 51 in Lede
- Home delivery or pickup in Heusden (Limburg) or Lede (East Flanders)
What’s new?
New this year is that to bid, you must always be logged in. To log in, you first need to register on our site.

This brings only advantages:
- When you are logged in, your information is automatically filled in when you want to place a bid --> you no longer have to enter it every time
- You no longer have to confirm your bid via email, from the moment you click “Place Bid,” your bid is recorded --> you will no longer miss bids by having to confirm via your email account first.

>> If you are not yet registered on our site, you can always do so via this link. <<
With this registration, you can also conveniently handle your purchase, payment, and delivery or pickup details via your account with just a few clicks this year.
When you go to “Won Auctions” in your account, you will see a button “Proceed to Payment,” and then you will arrive at your personal “checkout” page.

Here you will get options such as private or business purchase, home delivery, pickup in Heusden, or pickup in Lede. You will also fill in your details and choose the payment method. There are various payment options, and cash or bancontact can still be paid at the time of delivery or pickup.

When you have filled in all the details, you will proceed via the button “Continue to Summary” to the summary page where you check if all the information is correct. After that, you will be directed to our payment partner via “Continue to Payment” or, if you chose “Cash/bancontact upon pickup or delivery,” you will receive a confirmation.

Auction Layout
The auctions and voucher sales now each have a separate page that is easy to find via the navigation buttons at the top.

We also have a new clear display of each auction, but we have also kept the old view for those who prefer it. There is an easy switch between the two views using the two buttons at the top right. Everything remains the same for the voucher sales.

Since we place great importance on ease of use and service, we hope that this guide has sufficiently informed you to get started. We are always reachable via email or phone.
Good luck!
