22-04-25 – Announcement regarding the elections within the KBDB
In recent weeks, statements have appeared on Facebook from several critics questioning the fairness of the election procedure within our federation. Some even go so far as to claim that a bailiff was never involved.
Such insinuations are not only completely incorrect, but they also undermine trust, the functioning, and the credibility before our federation.
Therefore, we want to be completely clear and transparent about this. Below you will find, in black and white, the official statement from the Bailiff:
“The election of the national and provincial representatives of the VZW Royal Belgian Pigeon Lovers Association, with company number 0407.138.001 and registered office at 1500 Halle, Gaasbeeksesteenweg 52-54, takes place under the supervision of Bailiff Ronald Vanswijgenhoven, based in 1180 Ukkel, with office at Alsembergsesteenweg 995 – brussel@modero.be – 02/537.37.37 (file number 25VA01720), who was appointed by the members of the NRvB on 03/02/2025.”
This is not an opinion, not a position, but a factual and official statement.
Doubt is allowed, criticism also— but then with respect for the facts and for the proper procedure.
All explanations regarding the election procedure and its course will be clearly explained during the Extraordinary National General Assembly on May 16, 2025, where representatives of the press will also be present.
The KBDB will not respond to comments or accusations spread via social media, particularly on Facebook. Our communication will proceed solely through the official channels (Association Newsletter/website and KBDB Facebook).
Also regarding the issues that some enthusiasts specifically faced during the winter period, we will provide more information later, pending permission from the Public Prosecutor.
