NOTICE FROM THE ZLU BOARD.
In recent years, and especially in the last weeks, we as the ZLU Board have had to deal with considerable negative and unsubstantiated criticism regarding the speed calculation of Agen and concerning the event involving the pigeons from the association in Beek.
With regard to the speed calculation, we stand by our decision that the NFO18A will be applied, and we will handle the affected fanciers in a proper manner.
Ninety-nine percent of this criticism, in our opinion, is unjustified. Constructive criticism is welcome; however, it is very scarce.
The ZLU Board consists of volunteers who have dedicated themselves pro bono, to the best of their ability and integrity, to the Dutch pigeon sport for many years. The ZLU offers members of the NPO a national competition that is recognized well beyond our national borders.
Many Dutch fanciers have made a name for themselves thanks to the ZLU and have been able to reap the rewards.
Unfortunately, we must now conclude that trust in the ZLU has been revoked by many.
After extensive internal consultation, we have decided to cease our activities after Perpignan. We are fully aware that the fanciers who support us will unfortunately be the victims of our decision.
We will complete the races scheduled for 2024. We hope that the National Arrival Centers will continue to cooperate through to the last race at Perpignan.
After over 60 years, the era of the ZLU comes to an end.
After Perpignan, we will inform you further on how we will handle matters.
