In 2026, the Bongers pigeons flew 12th, 17th, 23rd, and 27th NATIONAL from Barcelona in Belgium
In 2005, his "Kimlynn" won the 1st International Perpignan. Three weeks before her international victory, she had already achieved 6th National Dax. Both races were fiercely competitive, with barely 1000m/min. Despite various offers, Kimlynn remained at the lofts in Odiliapeel. This would later prove to be a good choice, as several descendants scored countless top-100 rankings nationally and internationally in the subsequent years – and still do! With a strong line of Jellema-, Aarden-, and Van Wanroy-pigeons, Twan Bongers has been demonstrating for decades that he belongs to the absolute top of the European long-distance racing scene, both independently and in partnership in recent years. The tough conditions of the summer of 2026 turned out to be an easily cracked nut for the Bongers pigeons, evidenced by top rankings and ace pigeons at "Belgium's Best in 2026": Dirk Christiaens-Desmedt, and similar results at Christof De Braeckeleer, Nico Fourneaux, Danny Lievens, Koen & Kelly Stevens, Augustin Vizitiu, and Geert De Schepper. The descendants of Twan's breeders won this year at Barcelona from 3 different lofts: 12th, 17th, 23rd, and 27th National! Definitely a must-have for the serious long-distance enthusiast!
