Every year, Jozef Henrix wins around 40 to 50 first prizes, a number that few can match. In 2025, that number was slightly lower, but with 37 local first prizes, including 4 in the Central Limburg region, we're not complaining, are we? Despite the “retirement” of his better middle distance pigeons at the end of 2024, Jef still became 1st Champion Middle Distance Old Birds, 2nd in the young birds category and 2nd Overall Champion Small Middle Distance this year. In the latter discipline, he also added the 2nd and 3rd Ace Pigeons to his list of achievements. Over the past two years, several strong middle distance and long distance pigeons were acquired with the intention of competing more in those races and attaching less importance to the sprint races. That is why some of the best old sprint pigeons are sold every winter, partly out of fear of the numerous birds of prey here in the woods of Stokrooie. For this reason, no pigeons are released after November. This auction features two absolute top pigeons that have proven their worth in black and white, together winning no fewer than 22 first prizes!
