Just across the Belgian border, in the Dutch province of Zeeland, you will find the beautiful lofts of the likeable father-mother-son team Alfons, Annie and their son Danny van Daalen. Here, they enjoy pigeon racing with tremendous passion and dedication. When we tell you that their breeding loft is based on proven world-class bloodlines such as Benny Steveninck, PEC, Anthony Maes and Op de Beeck-Baetens, there can be little doubt that the quality at Van Daalen is of an exceptionally high level!
In 2020, Pitts offered pigeons from this champion loft at auction for the first time, and ever since, the references have kept coming in—and they just keep getting better. Danny and Tom Thierens, for example, won 1st National Poitiers (Vivonne) against 10,575 pigeons, while also having the fastest pigeon of the entire race against 19,590 pigeons! The dam was purchased at the Pitts auction in 2022. She was bred from a grandchild of Porsche 911 ("PORSCHE 862", via Benny Steveninck) × daughter of Crack ("Fleur", via Anthony Maes). "Fleur" temporarily moved to PEC for a joint breeding, further strengthening the already solid foundation at Van Daalen.
At their own loft, they once again made their mark last weekend with an impressive victory from Cambrai against 2,651 pigeons, while no fewer than three other pigeons finished in the top 34!
This auction may well be the only opportunity this year to acquire something from Van Daalen, so there is no time to hesitate!
